1. Deleting your account on the website

  1. Sign in to your account at legalenglishtr.com.
  2. Open My Account → Account & security.
  3. In the Delete account section, press "Delete my account".
  4. Review the access you will lose, enter your password for your security and confirm with "Permanently delete my account".

The deletion takes effect at once and cannot be undone.

2. Deleting your account in the mobile app

  1. Sign in to your account in the Legal English TR app.
  2. Go to Settings → Account → Delete my account.
  3. Confirm the deletion by following the steps on screen.

Removing the app from your device does not delete your account.

3. If you cannot sign in: request deletion by email

If you cannot sign in, or the app is no longer installed on your device, send an email with the subject "Account deletion request" to info@legalenglishtr.com from the email address registered to your account. Once we have verified your identity we delete the account and confirm the outcome to you in writing; your request is completed within 30 days at the latest.

4. Data deleted straight away

  • Your account details (name, surname, email address), your profile and session data
  • The invoice details held in our systems
  • Your video progress, the record of when you first opened premium content, and your reading and download records
  • The raw payment notifications received from the payment institution and the app stores (cleared, leaving only a summary without content)
  • The IP address of password attempts made during account deletion

Your flashcard progress in the mobile app stays on your device only and is deleted when you remove the app.

5. Records kept for statutory periods

  • Order, invoice and payment records: 10 years, under the Tax Procedure Law and the Turkish Commercial Code, without your name and email address, under a random account ID. Invoices already issued remain with our e-invoicing provider and in the Revenue Administration's records for the same period.
  • Content-free summary of payment notifications: 18 months (because of chargeback periods)
  • Withdrawal-right and document consents (version of the text accepted, date and time, IP address, browser information): for the limitation period applying to consumer disputes (10 years)
  • Sign-in and IP logs: one year, for security
  • Password attempts during account deletion: 90 days, without the IP address
  • Support correspondence: three years after the request is closed
  • Subscription history at the service that verifies store subscriptions (RevenueCat): deleting your account does not delete it automatically; you can ask for it to be deleted in the ways described in section 9 of the Privacy Policy.

When a period ends, the records are deleted, destroyed or anonymised. Details: Privacy Policy, section 5.

6. Subscriptions and refunds

  • A Premium subscription started on the website is cancelled during the deletion: it is cancelled immediately with the payment institution before your account is deleted, and you will not be charged for the next period. If the cancellation cannot be completed, your account is not deleted; contact us on our support line +90 850 309 95 38 or at info@legalenglishtr.com.
  • A subscription started through the App Store or Google Play is not cancelled automatically when you delete your account. You need to cancel it separately in the store's subscription settings.
  • Deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund; for refund terms see the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
  • Deletion cannot be undone: your access to purchased content closes permanently.
